Kayla A. Zellers is an Engineer at American Electric Power in the Asset Performance and Renewal group at the Transmission Headquarters in New Albany, Ohio. She received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a focus in Polymer Science from The Ohio State University in the Spring of 2015. She joined the AEP family soon after graduation under the Transmission System and Asset Monitoring team where she assisted the testing and deployment of the Asset Health Center Software. In her current role, she is responsible for prioritizing the necessary grid renewal work within the Indiana and Michigan footprint. Additionally, she graduated from AEP Transmission’s leadership program, GOLD (Growing Outstanding Leadership through Development) in January of 2019. In her free time she enjoys running, cooking, and volunteering at her local farmers market.
