Dr Emma Stewart is the Associate Program Leader (APL) for Defense Infrastructure within the Cyber and Infrastructure Resilience program area at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In this role, Emma has responsibility for leading the development and execution of a portfolio of work focused on modernizing defense critical infrastructure and enhancing its security and resiliency to physical and cyber disruption. Since joining LLNL in 2017, Emma has led LLNL efforts focused on electric grid data analytics and distributed energy resource integration with the DOE. Prior to joining LLNL, Emma spent four years at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where she was most recently the Deputy Group Leader for the Grid Integration Group. She also spent three years as a visiting researcher at Sandia National Laboratories and five years working in the electric power industry. Emma received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
