Cat Wong, Ph.D., P.E., P.M.P. is the Manager of Customer Product Engineering at Entergy and she is leading the planning, design, and implementation activities of Distributed Energy Resources at Entergy, including PV, battery storage, and micro-grids. She has 12 years of industry experience in the area of integration of DERs, PMU deployment, transmission and distribution planning, protection analysis and standard development, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations. Prior to joining Entergy, Cat worked with the real time simulation development team at the Hydro Quebec Research Institute in Montreal, Canada. Cat is a senior member of the IEEE and IEEE PES Region 5 representative. Cat received her Bachelor of Engineering degree with first class honor and Master of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong and completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Tulane University. Currently she is pursuing her EMBA at Tulane University and expected to complete in 2019. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana and Project Management Professional.
