Pete spent 38 years at Xcel Energy retiring in December of 2023. During that time, he performed a variety of roles including leading the Geospatial Application Development organization, the Asset Management team and most recently, as the Data Program Manager supporting the implementation of Advanced Grid applications corporately.
Pete was an active member of the Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA), serving as the organization’s North American President in 2005. His knowledge and expertise in the areas of gas and electric system design, data system integration, and Cybersecurity have made him a much sought after resource. As such, he served as a contributing author to a book entitled, Successful Response Starts with A Map, sponsored by the National Research Council of the National Academies.
Pete possesses a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado-Denver.
