Daniel Hanks is an Engineering Supervisor in the System Planning and Reliability Compliance group at Nashville Electric Service (NES) responsible for substation planning, transmission planning, and NERC compliance.

Daniel has been with NES for 12 years and has served in a number of roles during that time. Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technological University, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Kansas State University. Daniel is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of TN.

When not working, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. Specifically, Daniel enjoys being outdoors overlanding/camping, mountain biking, and going out on the water.
