Mary Chapa is the Fleet & Safety Informatics Manager at CPS Energy, the nation’s largest municipally owned electric and natural gas utility. Mary leads a team of six through the development and delivery of analytics and technology strategy for the Enterprise Fleet and Safety teams, including Telematics. She has a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston-Victoria. As a member of the Safety Analytics Community Leadership Team, Mary values the community’s work on advancing the understanding and prevention of Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIF). As a first-time manager, Mary has been working on developing her skills as a leader but has also learned that leading data teams comes with its own learning curve. Mary is looking forward to exchanging insights and strategies with the dynamic data leaders within our UAI community!
